The patent-pending SlideTag™, by Sekura Global, has been shortlisted for the Best Newcomer Award at the 2017 Retail Knowledge Fraud Awards.
The Best Newcomer category “recognises the most exciting new vendor-lead or in-house developed solution, or company to enter the retail risk and loss prevention arena, supplying any part of the risk and loss prevention industry.”
The patent-pending SlideTag™ is a revolutionary development in security tagging solutions. Chris Napthine, Director of Operations at Sekura Global and SlideTag inventor, said: “The safety-conscious design eliminates a number of Health & Safety risks, commonly associated with standard pin tagging – a particular benefit for items like Children’s Wear, where the onus of care is more significant – while also making application and removal extremely quick and easy.
“We developed this bespoke solution specifically to meet the challenges of safety-conscious retailers, who are concerned about protecting staff and customers from harm in their stores.”
The SlideTag has been ergonomically designed to facilitate rapid attachment and removal. The aperture, resembling a clamp or clip, has a gently contoured lip to allow smooth application to materials with a thickness of up to 3.5mm. The SlideTag is also available with a transparent retractable pin mechanism housing, allowing store colleagues to apply the solution with greater precision when required.
The clutch activates with Superlock detachers, and the spring- loaded pin will slide out automatically with thinner fabrics (or with a gentle push of the plunger for denser material). The DuaLoc version of the SlideTag is also available now for retailers using both magnetic and mechanical detachers in their stores, or for those in the process of transferring from one type to the other. The SlideTag comes in both AM and RF technologies, and is well suited to source/DC or instore tagging.
The Retail Knowledge Fraud Awards are decided by an international panel of judges – comprising Retail LP, Risk and Security, experts from around the world – and are held annually by the Retail Risk Conference Series. The judges’ final decision will be announced on Thursday October the 5th 2017, at the annual Fraud Awards Gala Dinner – being held at the Kings Power Stadium in Leicester – right after the Retail Risk Leicester conference.
Tickets for Retail Risk conferences are free to retailers, and the series hosts events all around the world – join Sekura Global at the New York Retail Risk show on Thursday September 14th at the New York Marriot Downtown.
