Sekura Global’s annual EXPO competition has now come to a close – and we have six more winners to announce for 2018!

The Sekura SlideTag Challenge proved as popular at NRF Protect in Dallas as it had in RILA Orlando, with LP professionals from all over the world taking part.

There are a few familiar faces from the 2017 BoxGrip Challenge too, including previous winners Joe Coll and Stephen Boarman (both of Macy’s), who each achieved winning times in the SlideTag Challenge as well.

The third prizes this year have been $25 Visa Gift Cards, the second prizes are shiny new Echo Spots, and the first prizes are Amazon Echo Shows! (With one from each category awarded to the corresponding tier-winner on each day of the EXPO).

One Challenge participant said: “What a fantastic way to showcase your solution! It really emphasises the speed and safety benefits of the SlideTag, and I really love your handheld [Commander] detacher too!”

Chris Napthine, SlideTag inventor and Director of Sekura Global, said: “The fantastic thing about the SlideTag is that it makes a competition like this possible – giving LP experts a chance to see how quick and easy it is to apply and remove in practice, without any fear of injury.

“You simply could not ask people to attempt a timed challenge with conventional pin tags, because the risk from pin injury would be too great. The SlideTag is a one-piece solution, specifically designed to eliminate any risk of injury – to store colleagues or customers alike – with the speed of application and removal being a fantastic extra feature!

“The SlideTag can help retailers save time and reduce shrink, while simultaneously improving safety for staff and customers in their stores.”
